Tze-Ning focuses on how the autonomy of individuals could become when it comes to arts and cultural practices, and how visual culture relates to them.

In her artworks, she aimed to open up a certain dialogue related to one’s visual experiences or memories, approaching the memories of individuals regarding all sorts of media and the art education received, exploring the dimension of his/her own private narratives placing in public spaces. As for her researches and writings, Ning made her emphasis on working cultures varying from different art organizations, the participative experiences of audiences and its archiving, and zine culture in Taiwan.
